1. Memberships:
a. There will be a number of separate and discrete membership levels as detailed
on the application form for membership to the St James Club. Each level relates
to usage of the club and provides added value to more regular customers.
b. In addition to free entrance according to the membership type subscribed
to, certain features and benefits are provided. These features and benefits
are provided at the discretion of the club and do not constitute any contractual
obligation on the part of the club or its management. Availability of VIP lounge
and chauffeur services cannot be guaranteed and clients are advised to pre-book.
At peak times if these services, once booked, are not used and reasonable notice
of cancellation or lateness has not been given, a penalty may be levied.
c. Membership periods run for max. 12 months, although each new 12 month period
can run continuously from the last.
d. Memberships may be reviewed from time to time, to ensure best service is
maintained. Membership subscriptions, levels and features and benefits may be
varied from time to time, giving 14 days notice on the website of any changes.
Any such variations in features and benefits will not constitute a breach of
contract. Any such variations will involve all members (existing and new) of
that membership type. In this way, all members will, at all times, have the
same features and benefits of that membership type.
e. Membership is offered in good faith by, and at the discretion of the club
and acceptance of membership and the Club’s rules and conditions is indicated
by payment of subscriptions and acceptance of payment.
f. The club maintains the right to withhold, cancel or suspend membership, immediately
and at any time, to any party, giving reasons in writing within 14 days of such
action.
g. Any breach in Club conduct or Dress code or payment terms would signify a
reason for such immediate action as detailed in (1.f) above
2. Subscriptions:
a. All subscriptions are payable annually, but can be paid quarterly or monthly
by direct debit. Payments are due in advance of the period to which they relate.
b. All fees are currently set for the year 2004-2005 but will be reviewed from
time to time. Any increases will be stayed on annual membership until such time
as membership comes up for renewal, but on quarterly and monthly payment terms,
may be increased, giving 14 days notice to members. Members can, however, maintain
existing rate for up to 12 months, by paying the full year at time of such notice
of increase.
c. At this time, no joining fee is payable, but the club reserves the right
to charge one in future to new members. Details will be published 14 days prior
to such change in policy on the web-site.
d. Members will be provided with membership cards, identifiable by a discrete
number, with a valid from and to date, which they should have available when
visiting the club. If cards are lost or stolen, please contact the management,
who will cancel your card and issue you with a replacement.
e. Termination of membership is given in writing on the part of either party,
giving 14 days notice. All debts should be paid up to this point.
